Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Information you give us. Depending on the form you complete, we collect your name, email address, phone number, messages, and application answers. Applications may include your company, website or LinkedIn profile, role, business stage, team size, leadership challenges, goals, and timing. You choose what to provide in optional fields.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider records basic usage information such as pages viewed, browser and device type, the site that referred you, and approximate location based on your IP address. We look at this in aggregate to understand how the site is used. The site also stores small files in your browser (cookies and local storage) so that pages and the scheduling tool work properly. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't sell browsing data.

How we use your information

We use your information to reply to inquiries, review applications, send the resources you request, and provide updates you choose to receive. We also use it to keep the site working, secure, and free of spam. Monthly leadership updates are optional. Hike updates are sent using the contact methods you select.

Family Meeting Guide emails come from Thrive Family, another of Dave's brands, using hello@thrvfamily.com.

Services that process information

We use a small number of service providers, who handle information only as needed to provide their services:

• Brevo, for contact management and email delivery
• Lovable, for website hosting, form processing, and site usage statistics
• Calendly, if you book a call (Calendly collects your booking details under its own privacy policy)
• Google Workspace, for email and for hosting the guides and handbooks you download

If we add or change providers as the site grows, we'll update this list.

How we share information

We never sell personal information. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

Personal hike text updates

If you choose text messages, Dave sends hike updates personally from his phone, about 1-2 texts per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP anytime to opt out, or HELP for help. You don't have to agree to texts to join a hike, and choosing text updates doesn't subscribe you to unrelated marketing.

Your choices and rights

Every email includes a link to update your email preferences, so you can choose which updates you keep, and a link to unsubscribe from all emails. You can reply STOP to hike texts at any time.

You can also ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@daveprendergast.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor those requests too.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while you're subscribed to updates, or for as long as we need it to respond to your inquiry or application. Inquiries and applications that don't lead to an ongoing relationship are deleted within three years of our last contact. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so we don't email you again by mistake.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure connections and access limited to people who need it. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email hello@daveprendergast.com and we'll delete it.

Other websites

This site links to other sites, including Our Town San Tan, Thrive Consulting, and Thrive Family. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

Future programs

If we add paid programs, events, or online communities, we'll update this policy before launch to explain any additional information collected. Payment details would be handled by the payment provider, not stored by us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website or its services change. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision.
